11 Years ago today.....

I became Mrs Satterley. Russ has been part of my life for 19 years and I know I am very lucky to have found my soulmate so quickly in life. Happy Anniversary Russ I am so proud and honored to be your wife!

OK enough mushy stuff - what a difference a year makes. This time last year we were in Walt Disney World patting a baby rhino and enjoying a champagne afternoon tea in the amazing Grand Floridian Hotel. We also had Torrential rain and the word baby was not in our vocabulary. 12 months on we spent the day in Plymouth browsing the shops, drinking Starbucks Frappacino's, in the most amazing weather, pushing our precious baby girl around in her pram. It's been a very different day to last years 22/5 but just a special and momentous.

4 weeks on.....

... where has that time gone?! We are both enjoying being parents and cant think of a time when she wasn't part of our lives. We are very blessed to have a beautiful and entertaining baby girl.

Amelia is now 9lb and beginning to grow out of her first clothes. Mum's comment "she doesnt look like a newborn anymore but a proper baby" last week sums it up. By all accounts it seems that I make a good cow as she is totally breast fed and has put on 1/2 lb every week since her first weigh-in at 5 days old.

We have been very lucky that she has slept for 3hours at a time at night since she was a week old until last night. Wind got the better of her last night and a call to Mum and Dad for them to spend quality time with their granddaughter while I slept was required today!!! They are loving being grandparents and love any excuse to spend time with her so they were quite happy to take her for a stroll into town!

Ben has been soooo good with her. He puts up with the disturb nights and crying without a problem and looks to see where she is when she isn't where he thinks she should be. The other day he was so desperate to get into her he ran into the closed patio door! He was very very lucky and suffered no injury thank goodness but he sure frightened me (and the health visitor who was here at the time:o ) The only thing he cant understand is why she gets to go everywhere with us and he doesnt - bless him.
