Exhausted!!!!

Wow what a day!!! Today we had a surprise meal for my Mum who turns 60 in 10 days time. There has been lots of secret phone calls between me and family members over the last few weeks trying to arrange this meal. Mum knew that 4 of their friends, Russ & myself were going for a meal but what she didn't know was that we had invited another 12 family members.

I have had great problems in keeping it quite and 2 minutes away from the restaurant my dad made a foe par but we managed to cover it!! She was so surprised as she gradually saw each invited guest!!! The expected tears did not happen and thank goodness there was no fainting.

Everyone had a great time and we left mum still celebrating at her house with their friends and my auntie and uncle.

The day has got even better with Jenson winning the F1 world championship 2009!!! Congratulations Jenson and Brawn GP!!!!! Yippeee

Pram dilemmas and a lovely Saturday

Yesterday I headed to Tiverton with Mum and Dad to go looking at prams - again!!! I really do think that buying a car is far easier!! There is soooo much choice out there which doesn't help but I think we have it down to two now. Russ and I will need to go to look together and battle it out (yes I like one and he likes the other!!!!!)

Today we went on a quick secret mission for tomorrow and then on down to plymouth. It was plymouth crop today and i have missed seeing the girls so Russ drove me down to have a chat which I did :D Once Bump arrives I still want to head down there each month I can because I really love meeting up with the girls - they are a lovely.

We went to Endsleigh Garden centre after for lunch and a look at christmas Decorations!!!! I love christmas and the build up and just love looking at all the decorations and smelling the christmas candles Mmmmm.

Well tomorrow is a very exciting day that I can't talk about but I hope to have some pictures to show afterwards:D

16 1/2 weeks....

... and I am beginning to get my head around the fact I am expecting our first and unexpected baby. I have been adjusting my way of thinking for so long to the fact that a baby was an unlikely path we were to follow, now nature has made its decision, it has taken a long time for my brain to accept it is really happening and believe it.

Of course the headaches, sickness and body changes that come with pregnancy take some getting used to as well! I hope I am over the worst of this now but won't jinx it by saying too much.

We have also reached my favorite time of the year. I love autumn and the lead up to christmas. I can feel the christmas excitement building already. Yes I know it is only the first full week of October but it is only 76 days left!!!!!!! That means it is a lot less until thanksgiving when I can start watching christmas movies - the first being miracle on 34th street (the modern one)which has a thanksgiving parade in it justifying its first playing before Dec 1st!!!!

This is the time I wish we lived in the states. They celebrate autumn/halloween far more than we do here. I have seen so many yummy recipes that are made with tinned pumpkin - which although a autumn staple stateside, we can not purchase over here (or that I have found anyway!). They also have special halloween Orange Oreo's. Now many of you will know about my oreo obsession (particularly the mint double stuff ones), to read that they are doing halloween special editions I am gutted! Having said that I have seen some special limited edition christmas ones over here but for £3.50 for a small pack - I think that this will be my christmas treat!

There is lots of things to look forward to between now and christmas. We have my Mum's 60th in a few weeks time and my Auntie and Uncle's 40th wedding anniversary the weekend before. My friend is celebrating the end of her employment with Aviva and her birthday with a Halloween party on 31st. I am looking forward to catching up with friends I haven't seen for a while. That means 3 parties in October!!!

I also only have 24 working days left at work. With how it is there at the moment I am very glad! the last month has been quite rough but I hope that I am over the worst and that it can't really get any worse (I think that is wishful thinking really).

Well this has been a very long and wordy post. Apologies for no pics but I have had nothing to show lately. I need to make lots of cards so need to give myself a kick up the bum.

I hope to not leave posting so long next time.
