Firstly - HAPPY THANKSGIVING for yesterday!! We both have a very fond affection for the states and like to celebrate with them! It is also the start of the festive season for us in the Satterley household and I am allowed to watch christmas DVD's from thanksgiving onwards:D As I type I am watching The Holiday - I love this film it makes you all warm a fuzzy without being overly christmassy!
Our actual proper celebrations are happing a little late as we are having a full works thanksgiving dinner tomorrow - I can't wait. I will be making desserts later today and will be brining the turkey later too (a first for us so no idea how it will turn out!)
Special thoughts went out to TikiKrissy and Jeff yesterday. Jeff lost his Dad a couple of weeks ago after a long illness and I am sure having a big holiday so close was very difficult. We send you our love guys and will be in touch soon x
Yesterday was also a very momentous day for me as it was my first day of freedom from AVIVA which also means that I am now unemployed!!! It is a total mixture of emotions. To be honest it feels like I am on an extended christmas Holiday - the fact I am never going back really hasn't sunk in! Officially I am employed until the end of Monday and I am not looking forward to the prospect of having to sign on. Unfortunately with the impending arrival that is what I will have to do for a few weeks before my statutory maternity pay kicks in in January.
Talking about the arrival - I believe she is doing well. Yes we are 90% sure bump is the of the pink variety. She is definately kicking well although she is not yet big enough to feel kicks from the outside. The headaches are finally reducing although I did have one yesterday. Hopefully not working will also help these!
Well I guess I must go and unload the washing which has just finished drying and check on the mincemeat (sweet variety for xmas mince pies)that is cooking in the oven.
I hope to post more frequently now I am a little less busy!
