Is this how the year is going to continue??

Well I always knew this year would be tough but didn't expect all of what has been thrown at us over the last couple of weeks!! All I can say is that I am sure we will be stronger following this continuing experience and as long as we have each other and great family then we can fight everything that is thrown at us and come out the other end reasonably unscathed.

Very little crafting has happened over the last 10 days and I have a few projects I have to get done this week so thank goodness I have a week off work. Maybe there will be some pics to show later in the week.

Where has the last week gone!!!

I can't believe another week is over! Life seems to be sailing past me without acheivements at the moment. 

Like most of the UK we have had snow this week. We live around 10 mins drive from Haldon Hill where people had to be rescued

 from on Thursday. We didn't actually ge

t that much snow here to my disappointment - As  I wasn't at work and Russ couldn't get to work it would have been nice to have had a decent amount here to play in or take pictures of!!

My parents are back today from their 5 weeks in portugal - despite it no being as warm/dry this year out there, I think they will feel the cold and Mum no doubt will have double thermals on!!! bless her.

I did make one card this week but had to get it sent straight away as it was already late for a birthday in the states (OK organisation menti

oned a couple of posts ago isn't quite there yet lol) and so no pictures. Having said that I have some from a couple of weeks ago -  this using one of my new penny black stamps:

Sorry image is a little small but it is that or way to big!!! The scan isn't great either. I am into my flower punches at the moment and have used them on lots of projects recently.

Operation Craft room has begun....

.. and it is not looking much better lol. I am however winning the battle and things are beginning to have homes and there is a little more organisation - although it may not look like it at the moment.

I haven't had time to craft this weekend and so nothing to show today.

Today is the start of the countdown to Mum and Dad coming home next sunday. 5 weeks have gone so quickly this year and it will be nice to see them back.

One final note -Lily Allen is No 1!! I just love her song "the fear" and I'm pleased others have loved it to, It's great to hear some new songs from her.
